Using the 90-Degree Rule
Path to ball = 90 degrees straight across. Ball to path = 90 degrees straight back.
Do
- Drive your cart on the path, then turn 90 degrees directly toward your ball
- Park, hit your shot, then return 90 degrees to the path
- Don't drive along the fairway in the 90-degree rule areas
Don't
- Don't drive diagonally across the fairway to your ball
- Don't go straight to your ball from across the fairway without returning to the path
Beginner-safe script
“No script needed — watch others in the group and follow the same pattern.”
Why it matters
The 90-degree rule distributes cart wear more evenly across the fairway.
