Behavior After a Bad Shot
Breathe. Walk. Reset. Never throw a club.
Do
- Take a breath, let the frustration pass quickly
- Walk to your next shot with intention and move on
- A brief 'ugh' is human — everyone understands
- Channel the frustration into focus for the next shot
Don't
- Don't throw clubs — dangerous, embarrassing, and damages equipment
- Don't curse loudly within earshot of other players or families
- Don't stomp around or make loud noises that disturb others
- Don't give up mentally for the rest of the round over one bad shot
Beginner-safe script
“No script needed — just breathe and move on.”
Why it matters
Tantrum behavior is the fastest way to ruin your reputation and everyone else's experience. Golf is hard — bad shots are normal.
