Checking In at the Pro Shop

Do

• Go to the pro shop counter, give your name and tee time
• Pay your green fee (and cart fee if applicable)
• Ask about any conditions: cart path only? Any closed holes?
• Get a scorecard and a local rules sheet if available
• Ask where to find the starter

Don't

• Don't skip check-in and go directly to the tee
• Don't forget to ask about today's rules (cart paths, etc.)

Beginner-safe script

“Hi, I have a tee time at [time] under [name]. Can I check in? Are there any course conditions I should know about today?”

Why it matters

Check-in confirms your spot, informs staff you're there, and gets you current course conditions.
