Be Ready to Hit
Etiquette
Explained Simply
Have your club selected, yardage checked, and be standing near your ball so you can play immediately when it's your turn.
Example
“While your partner walks to their ball 50 yards away, check your yardage, pick your club, and plan your shot. When they're done, you're immediately ready.”
Why it matters
The single biggest contributor to slow rounds is players who don't prepare until it's already their turn. Being ready saves 20–30 minutes per round for the whole group.
Common beginner mistake
Starting to think about your shot only after your partner has finished theirs.
