Cart Path Only
Etiquette
Explained Simply
A course condition where golf carts must stay on the paved paths and cannot drive on the grass — usually after rain or during course maintenance.
Example
“The sign at the pro shop says 'Cart Path Only Today.' Keep your cart on the path, grab 2–3 clubs and walk to your ball.”
Why it matters
Protects the course from damage. You get free relief from the cart path for your shot.
Common beginner mistake
Not grabbing enough clubs before walking to your ball. Carry 2–3 clubs so you don't make unnecessary trips back to the cart.
