Follow-Through

Shot Types

Explained Simply

The continuation of the swing after contact — your club and body should complete a full rotation toward the target.

Example

“After impact, your hands should finish high over your left shoulder (right-hander), with your weight fully on your front foot and chest facing the target.”

Why it matters

The follow-through isn't just cosmetic — it forces you to accelerate through the ball rather than decelerating at impact.

Common beginner mistake

Stopping your swing right after impact. This causes deceleration and poor contact.
