Golf Cart
Equipment
Explained Simply
A small motorized vehicle used to transport players and their bags around the course. Rented from the course, usually included in or added to the green fee.
Example
“At the pro shop you pay the green fee plus $20 for a cart. The cart holds two bags and follows the cart path rules posted on the course.”
Why it matters
Carts speed up play and reduce fatigue, especially on hilly courses. Learn cart rules (cart path only, 90-degree rule) before driving one.
Common beginner mistake
Driving onto the green or too close to it. Carts should never go near the putting surface.
