Wolf
Game Formats
Explained Simply
A rotating game for 4 players where the 'Wolf' is designated each hole and decides — after watching each player tee off — whether to partner with that player or go solo against the other three.
Example
“You're the Wolf on hole 5. Player A hits a great drive — you say 'I'll take them.' Now you and Player A play as a team vs. Players B and C for that hole.”
Why it matters
Wolf is one of golf's most strategic and entertaining side games. The Wolf can go 'Lone Wolf' before anyone tees off, doubling the stakes by playing solo.
Common beginner mistake
Not understanding the rotation — the Wolf position rotates every hole in the same fixed order. Set it up before the first tee.
