Skins
Game Formats
Explained Simply
Each hole is worth a 'skin' (a dollar amount). Win a hole outright and you take the skin. Ties carry over to the next hole.
Example
“Holes 1–3 all tie, so $3 carries to hole 4 — whoever wins hole 4 takes all $3.”
Why it matters
Skins creates huge drama on late holes when carry-overs stack up. Every hole matters.
Common beginner mistake
Not understanding carryovers — a tied hole doesn't mean the money disappears.
