Terms of Service

Welcome to GolfReady. These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and GolfReady ("we," "us," or "our") and govern your use of the GolfReady mobile and web application and related services (the "App"). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the App.

1. Who can use GolfReady

You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may only use the App with the involvement of a parent or guardian who agrees to these Terms. By using the App you confirm you can form a binding contract with us.

2. Your account

Some features require an account. You're responsible for the information you provide, for keeping your login credentials secure, and for all activity under your account. Let us know promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.

3. Guidance only — not professional instruction

GolfReady is an educational tool for beginner golfers. The Club Advisor, Ask-the-Coach, Course Info, form tips, glossary, and all other content provide general beginner guidance only. They are not professional swing instruction, not official rulings under the Rules of Golf, and not medical, fitness, or injury advice. Always confirm course rules, dress codes, hours, and tee times with the course, see a PGA professional for swing changes, and consult a qualified professional for health questions.

4. AI features

Some features use artificial intelligence to generate responses (for example, the coach, course lookups, and tournament search). AI output can be incomplete, out of date, or wrong. Don't rely on it as your sole source of truth — verify anything important, especially tournament dates, entry requirements, and course details, on official sources before acting.

5. Subscriptions, free trial, and billing

GolfReady offers a free tier and an optional paid Premium subscription (monthly, annual, or one-time lifetime). Premium unlocks features such as unlimited Club Advisor recommendations, the full First Round Checklist, course albums for your round photos and videos, and the Local Tournaments finder.

• Free trial. Paid plans may include a free trial. If you don't cancel before the trial ends, the subscription converts to a paid plan and you'll be charged.
• Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. Your payment method is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period starts.
• Managing and cancelling. Purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play are managed in your store account settings, subject to that store's terms. Web purchases are managed through the billing portal we provide.
• Refunds. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. App Store and Google Play purchases are subject to the refund policies of those stores.
• Price changes. We may change prices going forward; changes won't affect the current paid period you've already been charged for.

6. Your content

The App lets you save rounds and upload photos, videos, scorecards, and notes ("Your Content"). You keep ownership of Your Content. You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display it solely to operate the App for you (for example, to show your course albums and sync them to your account). You're responsible for Your Content and confirm you have the rights to it and that it doesn't violate anyone else's rights or any law.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• break the law or infringe others' rights when using the App;
• upload content that is unlawful, harmful, or that you don't have the rights to;
• reverse engineer, scrape, overload, or interfere with the App or its security; or
• resell or commercially exploit the App without our permission.

8. Intellectual property

The App, including its content, design, and trademarks (other than Your Content), belongs to GolfReady or its licensors and is protected by law. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for its intended purpose. Course, tournament, and brand names belong to their respective owners and are used for identification only.

9. Third-party services

The App relies on third-party services for hosting, payments, analytics, and AI. Your use of the App may also be subject to the terms of the app store you downloaded it from. We're not responsible for third-party services or any sites we link to.

10. Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We don't warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any guidance or AI output will be accurate or suitable for your situation.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, GolfReady will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or USD $50.

12. Termination

You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or end your access if you violate these Terms or to protect the App and its users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as content licenses, disclaimers, and liability limits) will continue to apply.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you in the App. Continuing to use the App after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which GolfReady is established, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, except where local consumer protection laws give you additional rights.
