Push
Shot Types
Explained Simply
A shot that goes straight to the right without curving (for right-handers). Caused by an in-to-out swing path with a square face.
Example
“You swing and the ball flies dead right, parallel to your intended line — that's a push.”
Why it matters
Understanding the difference between a push (path issue) and a fade/slice (face issue) helps with diagnosis.
Common beginner mistake
Thinking a push means the same thing as a slice when they have different causes.
